One statement that changed a trajectory of my life (after I accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and savior) was, "You were created for a purpose".What? What do you mean by that? You mean my life has a purpose and my goal is to find what it is, and act on it?U![]()
p to that point, at 28-year olds, no one has ever told me that I was created for a reason. The book written by Rick Warren - The Purpose-Drive Life set a simple, ordinary life on fire to seek His purpose in me ever since then in 2004. Because of what it had done for me, how I live my life today, and why I get up everyday - I have been encouraging those I come to know to do the same thing. The question I cannot answer is, "How?"..... I wished I could tell you How to find your life's purpose. I do believe that God tells each one of us differently. One thing's for sure is - He will reveal it when it's the right time and your heart is prepared to receive it. So, in the mean time - diligently seek Him. Spend time with Him. Listen for Him. Have quiet moments with Him. He would probably reveal it to you in bits and pieces over time. He probably wont show it to you as a Big Picture in the sky. You'd be too imitidated with His big plans, overwhelmed and not knowing where to start - if He did. For more than 12 years, He's committed me to what I thought was the rest of my life. Oh, how short-sighted that was back in 2006! But with time and a heart to want to listen, He has revealed to me more insights to more of my/ our purpose this year - some 12 years later (because we were ready to receive). ![]()
And yes, it literally took almost 12 years for the beginning phases of my Purpose - to connect with others through real estate! Over the past 12 years, knowing that I needed to do in this season of our lives, we do it diligently, laser-focused with nothing else that would side-track us of our goal. In the past few years, He's slowly revealed more plans, which up until now - I sometimes look up to Him and say, "This is stupid and I have no desire to do that. But you already knew that". Up until this year, I fought those ideas, writing them off as "silliness". God, you really GOT to TELL me. No, I didn't hear His audible voice. But I know in my heart what I/we have to do. So, we accepted our long-term plans. Still praying and having to re-arrange our long-term plans but we are confident that He will reveal more along the way. Plus we have 20 years for it anyways! It's all His plan anyway, we're sure it will all work out. During this time, He also revealed our mid-term plans. All I could say is, "Wow". He sure expects alot from us. But then again, we have asked for Him to reveal. So, if we talk about TIMING: We would not be able to hear/ see/ understand the next steps of our responsibility had we not walked this far in our journey. Some of the things/ paths we have done help us hear God clearer in our journey of fulfilling His purpose for us in His Kingdom. So, thank You for each and every client that we've helped along the way. Just know that you, too are part of His bigger picture! Some of the helpful paths we want to share in our journey:

I'm not sure if reading this book will reveal your purpose clearly but I'm sure as you pray and desire to find out, God will point more people, books, circumstances your way).Hope Fellowship (We were meant to grow and fellowship. Hence, finding a home church is important so you have that connection. Hope Fellowship happens to be where we were called to. We actively serve and love on our church. Dave Ramsey, Total Money Makeover, Financial Peace University (God gave us a gift of financial administration. Where I wouldn't know what to do with you throw me into a room of 3-year olds in the nursery, if you share numbers with us - it becomes alive to us. Over the years, we have expanded our ministry to include financial counseling to those who need another opinion for where they are financially. We have also led Dave Ramsey's FPU at our church twice a year since 2008. It's sometimes not easy to make those weekly commitments, but we have such huge desires to help others become debt-free, to learn contentment and to put in perspective that STUFF is just that: STUFF. That life has a bigger purpose than worldly accumulations.Legacy Journey: This is a shameless plug for the 1st ever Legacy Journey by Dave Ramsey offered at my home church from July 12 through August 23 (once a week every Sunday from 4-6pm). While FPU teaches you on How-To, Legacy Journey provides insights as to "Why". So, you definitely don't have to take FPU first before you take on Legacy Journey. It is independent of each other. Legacy Journey revealed so much about how to look beyond yourself, to put your head up to be more conscious of the world around you. It also helped me with being less judgmental of others. And I wasn't even expecting that! So, these are how we continue to walk our journey. Your life will most likely be different than ours. But we know that You were created for a Purpose. If you don't know what it is, find it. It would be the most fulfilling things you can do in your lifetime.
